MP3 vs. 3G2

I have a Samsung 930(brand new). I'm trying to put ringtones and music on it from my computer. So far, my phone isn't recognizing the music when I put it on the SanDisk and load it into the phone. The memory check shows it has stuff on there, but no music. Do I need to change the format. I noticed when I moved my ringtones to my computer, they were in 3g2 format. How do I change it over? Am I S.O.L? Forgive me if this is a repeat question. I'm also having trouble with my Mac recognizing the bluetooth phone.

Quicktime pro can export to 3g2.

Just select 'export-> Movie to 3G' and then in the 'use' box select 3GGP2.
