• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I'm new to Mac and I'm tring to copy one of my DVDs with Mactheripper. Does that program Just rip it to the HD? I do not see any options to burn a disc. It is listed on my HD now. Do I need another program for that? If so is there a program that does it all?

The combination of MacTheRipper and TOAST 7 works best for me.

In the middle of the MacTheRipper screen you will see a "Save Location" area (directly beneath the time 00.00.00) click it, and choose the destination. I use the Desktop as the destination. MTR will rip it to a folder on the desktop.

From there (w/ Toast 7 anyway), just Open Toast 7 and choose "Burn to DVD", Drag the folder from the Desktop into the area indicated by Toast 7... click the Record button and you are off and running.
