I have a question in regarding to saving jpeg files in PS.

My question is this, I have a clipping path image in PS and I want to save it in a Jpeg file format without losing the background transparency. Is there a way to save the psd file with the transparency background into a jpeg file without the white or any other color background?

JPEG doesn't support alpha channels, so no.

No.
The .jpeg format does not support transparency.

You would have to save it in a format that does, like .gif or something, but that would limit your colors to 256.

Yep, you can't do it.
You could also try .png or maybe even .tiff as an alternative.

Is there like any really big difference in using .png vs jpeg in flash? Besides the transparent background issue.

Png isn't as good at storing photos, it will result in larger file sizes (apparently). It is better for things such as screenshots with large areas of the same colour.

PNG is the native image format of Flash. I would use PNG, on export you'll get less jaggies with PNG than with JPEG.

Yeah I would use png also since flash reads it very well and it is a better format overrall, plus flash will export in it's own format so at this point you're just going for compatibility. PNG's also support a much better transparency then gif's do, So you can actually have 10% of one color and 90% transparent, while with GIF's each pixel is either a 100% color or 100% transparent.
