Automatically mount Samba share

I have a Macbook Pro running 10.4.7. I can access my Linux server by clicking the Network/Server name /connect button in finder. It remembers my login details, mounts the share which then appears on my desktop.

Which is all very good but I want this to be done automatically every time I boot or come out of standby. And then when I am away for it to gracefully time out when it cannot find the wireless network.

Or am i being unreasonable?

OK, I got this one.

1) Map a drive to the share.
1) Run "Sytem Preferences"
2) Select "Accounts"
3)Select the User you want to change by double clicking
4) Click on "Login Items"
5) Drag your share over to the Login Items pane. That will add it.
6) Close "System Preferences".

Works for me with a share running off a WinXP machine.

Terrific, it works perfectly, thanks. I wonder why the solution is a bit of a secret. I have searched for this and asked several experienced Mac users.

As usual with Mac OS X, its an extremely easy solution once you think about it, but you might not of thought to do that in the first place. I've noticed a few things like this before.
