Well as of 3:52am this morning my new 20" iMac is OUT FOR DELIVERY!!!
The anticipation is killing me... I could hardly sleep last night. It was almost as if I were 7 yrs. old again and last night was Christmas eve. :D

It's coming with the Wireless Keyboard and Mouse.
Is there anything special I need to do prior to plugging it in?
I assume that all I need to do is put the batteries (how many & what size?) in the keyboard and mouse, then power up the iMac... correct?

Any other "pointers" would be appreciated as well.

TIA

Go get a 10-pack of AA and you'll be set.

The mouse takes 2 and the keyboard takes 4.

I just received my new iMac recently with the wireless keyboard and mouse... batteries are included! Just look carefully, they hid them in the packaging pretty well!

How long do these batteries last? Depends on usage of course, say I'm a power user and type about 5 pages of a4 text at 12pt every day.

I'm considering wireless coz of clutter issues.

They provide Energizer Lithium or Energizer E2 batteries, not to be sniffed at IMHO.

I say if your getting the wireless keyboard and mouse invest in a rechargable battery set.

I still have my old "Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical" The thing was hot when I got it. It didn't need a trackball!
