Read the troubleshooting thread in this forum.

Try the CD included with the mac to repair disks.

okay the full story is I turned it on randomly this morning. I opened the case last night, didnt do anything and it booted back up to. This morning I turn it on i get the familiar chime then it just sat at that blank screen with a silver background. It wont even get to the apple with the spinning circle. I restarded a few times and checked inside the case all looks okay. I couldnt find the troubleshoot thread.

Hurry get the Defibrillator, time is of the essence.
