When do you think the MBP with Core 2 will be released?

I am holding off on buying either a MBP or Powerbook G4, and rather get myself a MBP Core 2.
Just wondering when I can expect them to hit the street.

I would say if Apple doesn't update the MBP within the next month or two they have seriously dropped the ball from a marketing perspective. Now that they use the same chips as everyone else they have no excuse for waiting as long to update as they have in the past. I hope that the speed with which they got the Merom into the iMac is indicative of their new update schedule.

Nobody can really say for sure when the MBPs are going to be released because apple is so secretive. Everything you are going to hear about when they are going to be released is all speculation.

Maybe they will be released tomorrow...

This is very true, some people who work fairly high up for apple still have no idea what steve jobs and his close circle is doing.

I wonder how much business Apple is losing from folks who are holding off buying due to MBP-C2D expectations. I know I've held off purchasing because of industry reports/rumors, and might just end up going with an iMac instead.

It's just my way of saying: No-one can say, predict correctly, or even imagine when Apple will do what.

Timing is one of the things the Mac community never gets right.
