Is there anyway I can get the 6th gen software for my 5th gen ipod. I want to be able to search for songs and have continues playback. There is no technical reason why it shouldn't work. Unless of course iPod has some sort of block on it to force me to buy a new one.

I don't think that feature is in the firmware for the older 5th gen video iPods.
