Mailing images

Okay, I am new to Mac, but what gives with emailing images from Apple Mail to aol folks. When the email shows up, there is a small (very small) icon / placeholder for the image(s). These do not have an open option in the context menus. I have sent these to myself at aol's site and get the same thing. I can't find a setting to allow images to be shown? Any ideas on what is going on?

I am not sure - this complaint pops up again and again. I would recommend one of the many excellent open source email clients. Personally, I can't recommend Thunderbird enough (from the same folks that bring you the Firefox browser). I use Thunderbird and regularly mail photos to people with no issues.
