Continue my web designs (http://www.bloogrape.co.uk)
Risk free internet surfing (trojans etc..)
And I'm buying a Digital SLR Olympus E-500 camera this week coming or next so i can do what i like doing which is take pictures of where i live and other things.

I'm hoping to get into fine editing some of my RAW pictures that i take with photoshop and use Aperture to keep the work flow easy and manageable.

Ive got a good machine now that my old dear uses for her work and i can happily play games on this windows machine, but in the end i got my own Mac in my room so i can focus, i will play games on the mac sooner or later as Ive found a good website for mac games (http://www.macgold.co.uk/indexie.shtml)

I'm also looking forward to getting the network setup although i have no idea what I'm doing on the Mac. i got a Linksys router at the moment attached to this Windows machine with two extra 80Gb drives in FAT32 mode so i can use it as storage if i need to. hopefully this will be very easy to setup?

you can do more............with ease, and faster. makes me wanna get one, soon.
netwroking is easy, accessing your win machine 's hdd from your iMac. since it has a built in smb client. on your Finder, goto GO>Connect to Server, type smb://yourwindowscomputer'sname@linksysassignedipaddress then click connect.

I did notice that but i think they presume its the same thing or haven't updated there automated script for ordering.

Its against the law to offer a product description that don't match the order so i got all confidence its a Core 2 Duo.

Congrats! I have a iMac G5 and it flies with 2gb of RAM. I can't wait to see what the Core 2 can do.

As far as the SLR I would reccomend getting a Canon or Nikon. The Olympus isn't a bad camera but it has very limited options are far as lenses go. And the lenses are very important. You can have the best camera in the world but without good glass, it doesn't matter. In the same price range you could look at the Canon 350D (Digital Rebel XT) or the Nikon D50 or maybe even the Nikon D70. I'm a Canon person myself and love the 350D. I reccomend you do some research and dpreview.com and photo.net.

I have a D70 great camera but I have had my eye on the D200 for some time so it might be time for an upgrade.

i agree with uncski on the SLR. I too am a canon guy, shoot with the 20D. i would reccomend the rebel xt(or new rebel xti if you can afford it) if you want nikon the d50 is the option(new d80 is way more expensive) i would go against the olympus due to lense etc options.

thank you all very much for the input on cameras.. i am a newbie to slr cameras so the feedback is great.

Il do a little search on the Canon and Nikon cameras now and will post back when i found a good Camera.. is there a standard for most Camera lenses so i could swap them?
