Is there a way to return an iMac Intel to its original state from when it was bought?

You computer should've come with 1-2 Disks in the box.

These are restore disks, put disk 1 in the drive and restart while holding down "C". Follow the instructions.

Are you SURE they are CD's? No new Mac comes with CD's that I have ever seen. Do the discs have an Apple on them? What do they say on the front?

Surfwax is correct on how to reinstall.

They are one in the same. Just pop those in and you are good to go.

It did come with a 2 disc install set for 10.4 OS.. I guess they're DVD's, no CD's not sure. I inserted the 1st disc and pressed and held C at startup and it went into the whole installation process again. Then when I got to the partition part it said that I can either transfer my files or erase and start over. I did buy it from a local mac store if that makes any difference. My iBook G4 came with install discs AND restore discs though.

If you have important data/files etc, then you're going to have to back them up or you'll lose them...dual-layer DVD discs hold about 8.5Gb...
