• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.

DVD Burning Help

hey,

I just bought an LG -+/RW External burner. The majority of the software is for windows.(but when i installed on my Dell it comes with every function except a .mov burn option.) But it still says its compatible with OS X9.0 or higher.

Im running an Emac G4 512MB/1.5Ghz

Its a used computer with no iDVD application(but for some reason i have everything else iLife provides)

My question is are their any FREE DVD burning software programs that will allow me to use my exported .mov (iMovie) film and just simply burn it to a DVD. No menus no backgrounds just straight play.

Would greatly appreciate any help/advice.
