There is only one version of iLife and it is bundled with every new mac or available to existing owners separately for 79$/€.
No time-limits, restrictions or anything.

No. iLife is usually a separate purchase. OS X retails for 129$, iLife for 79$.
So to recap: Both OS X and iLife are bundled with new macs, later versions have to be purchased individually in 2 separate purchases.
