Calbrating replacement batttery?

I just received the replacement from Apple. Is it necessary that I calibrate the replacement battery?

It's probably a good idea. That way you know that exactly the state of the battery. It's like receiving a hard disk that's already got a partition on it - you'd really want to replace it and reformat than trust it.

Well, it's been charged, but I took it out of the system and put the old one in. It has 0 cycle (or -1) as far as I remember and 5544 capacity of 5500. I'm still wonderin what that meant cuz it's more than the original capacity of 5500.

yes you should calibrate it to your manuals specifications
