How to run streaming video feed on os x without winamp?

since nullsoft wont make a mac os x version on winamp, how can i get a live streaming video feed that you would normally use winamp on a pc? what other programs can i use that are available on os x?

Quicktime>File>Open URL(Cmd+U) how about that? I'm pretty sure VLC can handle streaming content also.

VLC is great. I just setup a media server for my home using XP and the other comps use VLC to access the files via streaming. Works great!
