Azereus Install

I recently tried to install Azereus bit torrent client onto my MacBook (for legit reasons I must preface you) and upon clicking and dragging to my Applications folder, I try to open it and all it does is bounce the Azereus frog at the bottom of my screen as if it needs my attention, and then disappears.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if azuers can run on the intel macs for some reason...

1. Make sure to have downloaded the Mac DMG (I know you will have, but you gotta always check the power plug first, right?)

2. You have an Intel Mac. Azureus is not universal yet. Maybe that's giving some trouble. Try downloading this: http://azureuswiki.com/files/Azureus_2.4.0.2_Universal_OSX.dmg . Also see

If that doesn't help, there's also Transmission, which is a universal binary bit torrent client. http://transmission.m0k.org/

Did you use the Universal Binary version?

yea, you most likely did not download the correct version and thats why it isnt working. make sure you get the universal one

That's what happend to me Downloading the correct one helps

I'm not a big fan of Azereus on the Mac. Transmission is much better as far as stability, ease of use, and UI, while Azereus is powerful in all of the settings and controls you can alter, but it is not great looking, and not the most stable on my system.

transmission has never been stable for me and eats a huge amount of ram
