Apple Updates and product debut

What events does Apple hold or attend that they debut new products?

Obviously the WWDC is one - are there others? What time of year do these events take place?

When generally does Apple update it's product line yearly? i.e. when does the new iLife come out, etc.

Just trying to figure out what to put in my calendar.

January is Macworld San Francisco which is when the iLife's have been introduced the past few years.

Macworld Paris in September.

Those and WWDC are the big three

Let's also not forget that from time to time Apple schedules their own events to release something.

yea but you can't predict those events. usually the selct few get invitations like 2 weeks prior

Also, Apple has no set "schedule" as to when they update things. Despite what rumor sites may say, there is no rigid timeframe for Apple updates.
While it is rare, they may go through an entire Expo and not really introduce or announce anything new.
The best advice is to not worry so much about what is to come, but rather focus on what you need and what is available now. If an Expo or event is like a week away, then maybe wait til after it is over. Otherwise, just get your Mac. Waiting will simply delay when you get your Mac. Unless of course, you don't really 'need' it and feel like waiting and waiting and waiting.

It's always been a "custom" that Apple did things on Tuesdays, just like new music tuesdays in iTMS, but you really can't tell. My own predicition for year end is as follows:

Apple Expo Paris:
- new iPod w/video
- preview iLife '07

Special Event Date unknown:
- Some new product we didn't dream of

MacWorld January 07:
- Leopard shipping TODAY
- iLife '07
