help with my new mac book

I have just made the switch from windows :spook: and got myself a mac book (2 Ghz). I have installed one of my music software programs which is working fine for saimple tasks but when I ask a bit more, it is displaying a message saying ''this computer is to slow to play song''. Maybe I have'nt configured the settings correctly.

I am new to apple. Does anyone have any suggestions???

I really don't understand your problem...

you are using what music software program? I have never read "this computer is too slow to play song" on any application except VLC and thats on my iMac 333 g3...
