Well just like the title states I got my dad to switch to Apple. He hasn't upgraded his PC since his AMD Athlon 1.0Ghz machine back in 2000. Seeing that there was no sales tax on computers sold in North Carolina last weekend (as long as the total was below $3500) we hit the Apple store on Saturday.
He picked up the following:
-17" Macbook Pro 2.16GHz Duo
-23" ACD
-bluetooth keyboard
-wireless mighty mouse
-60 GB iPod in black (had to pay tax on that but 179.99 rebate)
And being the good son that I am I got a mac mini (core duo)
Thankfully we got all of it with his education discount, he is a teacher! :batman:
all in all yay for discounts and no tax!!!!
I already ordered 2 GB of ram for the mini from OWC can't wait for it to come :headphone
