Different Shared Gaphics Memory Levels

MacBook Pro 2.5 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB HD
Is it true that if you have different amounts of memory in the macbook different amounts will be alotted to the graphics card.

System Mem - Graphics Mem
512MB - 64MB
1024MB - 128MB
2048MB - 256MB

From what I've been able to find out, this is accurate:

Yeah, the Intel GMA950 itself is capable of using more than the discussed 80MB of memory, but it seems that Apple has locked the GMA950's memory use to 80MB (64MB VRAM + 16MB for "setup?").

I guess that this restriction only applies if you run MacOS X; if you run Windows XP via Bootcamp on your MacBook the GMA950 is able to unfold its complete potential, dynamically making use of up to 224MB shared memory and not just 80MB.

I have 2gb in my macbookbook and it still only shows 64mb for ram, irregardless if the chip had 256mb of vram you still would not see a marked improvement in gaming

it may only apply to windows on a mac - i.e bootcamp
