2.2GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 120GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, 15" widescreen... pretty basic.
I'm buying a digitcal camera (it will be my first) and I was wondering if iPhoto is compatible with most digital cameras. I'm looking to buy the Canon Powershot (the least expensive one) and I just want to make sure that it will be compatible with my MacBook.

Thanks.

Yes, most cameras are compatible. Just check the manual or the box at the store to be certain before you buy it.

The main thing to check for is that it uses a 'mass storage' USB interface. I can't think of a single camera that doesn't support it - the days of propietary nonsense interfaces is long gone, thankfully :)

That's good news. Thanks for the quick responses. I'll be buying the camera next week (birthday gift for myself!).
