So I'm using the Corduotemp app on my mbp 1.83. I usually float around 50c. Is this good? I see other people who say they're at 39c.

What is a good temp range to be in?

Thanks,
Bishop

So long as your MBP doesn't shut down, you are fine. If it gets too hot the machine will shut off to protect itself. :black:

If you're worried, get a cooling mat.

I have a VANTEC 2 fan cooling pad on which I sit my MBP 1.83. I have only been using it for web browsing today. It is sitting at 100 degrees F. 37 Celsius

that is so true!!! my dual 2.7 is running at 170F right now

all of your current temperatures seem fine to me and there is nothign to worry about. as DB said, if it gets too hot, it will shut itself down before it turns into chernobyl

fyi, prior to buying the cooler, I had run an audio/music cd just after I purchased the MBP in April, and the drive/MBP got so hot, that the MBP actually froze up from the heat generated from the cd. I could not even eject the cd. I had to force shut down and let the machine cool before it came out.
