Can't run iDVD's on a normal DVD Player

I bought a Mac Book Pro yesterday, I will mostly be using it for video editing and design. I just tried to burn a test dvd to see how it works. When the DVD was done it didn't work in my Panasonic DVD player connected to my tv... wich has always worked for everything. Please help me! :blind:

Have you got an NTSC player and accidentally burned a PAL DVD, or vice versa?
