Pioneer DRV111d - its version 1.02, wont see dual layer

Any suggestions from anyone using the Pioneer drv111d optical drive? I purchased on-line from macsales.com, but it came with no disc with firmware. Pioneer is claiming they dont make drives for mac and I now have a dual layer optical drive that just wont do a darn thing but burn single layer discs (with no problem though). Thanks so much

eMac 1gb RAM 80gb HD, Superdrive, iPod video 30gb
Have you made a profile for it? If no then try going to patchburn it is a free piece of software tha makes profiles of new optical drives, however I am not too sure how far they are with iDvd support yet.
