iTunes asks me for an RSS feed but I don't know how to make one. The MP3 file of the podcast is on Putfile and on Freewebs but I don't know how to get it onto RSS feeds to put them on iTunes.

You need a podcasting tutorial... and maybe a program that will automate it for you.
I use Podcast Maker from www.potionfactory.com

Here is decent podcast tutorial to help you along.

Also, you may look into http://www.libsyn.com to store your files and create the RSS feed for you, and once you have that working, then submit to itunes.

UNtil you can subscribe to it and it works - test it with your computer, friends, etc.. don't submit to iTunes, it will only delay you getting listed there.

Check out Podcast Maker, it is the one i use also and it makes the xml for you in the process of uploading the podcast to your server. Easy to use, does the job just fine.
