iMovie camcorder question

this is my 1st post on this forum. As a teacher in NYC, Im very excited about the apps on my new macbook. Im just starting to use iMovie HD 6 and IDVD. :confused: I need to buy a camcorder. Any suggestions? I'll be using the camcoder to take short clips inside classrooms as well as outside events. Of course I also use this camcoder for my personal family presentations also. What
"type" of camcorder is "preferred" for ease with iMovie / iDvD? Price is not a concern, I just want to buy the "right one" for my purposes ( keynote / iMovie presentations )

I just got the Canon ZR500 miniDV recorder. Its very plain but seems to do the job. I may get one with more features later but so far it takes very good video and seems to hold its own.
