I've had my mac mini for about 5 months now and have loved it. But a few days ago when I tried to watch a video on youtube, I got no sound. I get none from streaming videos period. Songs, and videos opened up in media player or media player windows still work however. Even after installing macromedia flash 8 it still doesnt work. Nothing I've done has. It's really starting to **** me off and I'm even thinking about going back to Windows, and I never thought I'd say that.

I have watched a lot of stuff on my iMac G5 on YouTube and all works. Is that an Intel Mini? If so, Wait a little longer till they make Flip4Mac a universal. That is what is playing them here on my system.

I have had no issues with Tiger, Flip4Mac and YouTube on this end. Does it do it with all videos there or just some?

Try opening Garageband.

Start a new project.

Then close Garageband.

That old "fix" might work.

Pretty weird eh? :p

It is only a temporary fix (from what I've read), but it does the trick at least.
