does slideshow made with IDVD 5 work on a PS2?

we made a slide show of jpgs using idvd 5 and the ps2 comes up with a disc error.. not a big deal for us as we have a regular dvd player, but we want to give the disc to a friend who only has a ps2 to watch dvd's on... any suggestions?
