I am buying a MacBook, and just wondering if the iWeb that comes with iLife with the MacBook is sufficient enough to put my podcasts on iTunes. Or do I need a specific .mac account to publish my works on iTunes?

Podcasts can be loaded into iTunes without .Mac.

Thank you :)

Would you recommend a .mac account? Are they very useful?

yes i would reccomend a .mac account. i love the easy way of making a photo website from iphoto(in ilife 05)

but with ilife 06 as im sure you know iweb and all the other programs can use it.

they are quite pricey but worth it in my opinion

thanks

I just activated mine. You have 1 GB of Webspace, that you have to share between idisk and your mail accounts (I've set 100 MB to mail and 900 MB to idisk)

Also, you have 10 GB of transfer, 5 GB during the first 15 days of the month and 5 GB during the last 15 days of a month.

Regarding pricey ... Similar Offers from other web hosters (without the sync functionality) are equaliy pricy.

However, having a @mac.com email adress is just cool :)
