it appears that I have 2 boot recovery hd? I am trying to use boot camp to install windows and get this message.

I think before you delete or remove anything, we need to find out why you have two recovery partitions?

im not sure why? I erased my hd in recovery mode and reinstalled osx

when I hold command and boot I am given 2 recovery options "recovery 10.13.6" and "recovery 10.13.5" in that order

Do you possibly have your hard drive split into two partitions -- one with 10.13.5 and one with 10.13.6?

no, the second recovery drive was the problem. I removed it and boot camp is now working like it should. Looks like I may get to go home tonight!!
