Hi, I have a new iMac 21inch running OS High Sierra 10.13.4 and I would like to put the Operating Instructions/user manual for my Panasonic Lumix TZ60 camera onto my hard drive rather than all the bother of setting up my CD reader etc each time I need some information. I have some instructions on the subject; open finder> applications & start disc utility. *Select file>new>disc image from 'folder'*. I get as far as the */s and I cannot find 'file' nor 'new' nor 'disc image' from "folder". Maybe the instructions are for an older OS and that things have moved on with the newer OS's. The CD came with the camera in the package, so it is kosher. I know I could download the user manual from the internet but this way I feel is best. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Very best regards from Keith in Derby England.

You would go down the Disc Image route if you wanted to create an exact copy of the CD at hand. If you are just interested in grabbing the manual, why not plug in the CD, go to Finder and the disc should show up on the left side, click on it and then browse around to find the PDF document and copy it to your machine. In the off chance this is some sort of a silly thing where the documentation is within an application and you can't find the actual PDF, you might just want to get it from the Internet since it might be newer than the version on the CD.
