How can one open a new topic, or respond, to a search that contains a hundred answers?

Moved your post to it's own thread in Schweb's Lounge. The Mac-Forums "Welcome/Introduce yourself" thread probably not the best place for this.:)

Regarding your questions...what do you mainly want to do at the moment?:

- Open a new topic (aka: start a new thread)?
- Respond to a post in an existing thread?
- Do a search?

You do have 9 posts so far...you must have been successful at doing at least 1-2 of these.:)

Hi

Responses after a search: Hesitate before responding to threads which are more than a few days/weeks old. Some searches will bring up threads from years ago which have almost certainly been solved. If you have a similar query and can't find an answer, start a new thread under the appropriate topic forum (Phone, mac, iOS etc) on the home page.

I was just exasperated in trying to find a current post that I could respond to, and, if not, to start a new thread
At 88, things become more difficult.

A random post or a specific post? If you want to search these forums, you can go to Google and then enter "site:mac-forums.com <search terms>"

Then use Google as I described in my previous post.

Look back at my screenshot (home page) - Try 'New posts' and 'Unanswered posts'
