I am new to Mac. I have a Mac Pro Tower (2012). I bought a Viewsonic touchscreen TD2421. The monitor itself is beautiful. The touch part doesn't work right. I'm already out of the return window (by 7 days) for New Egg. I bought the Mac and the monitor at the same time. Driver ideas? Probably should just try to sell it and try again.

Why buy a touch screen monitor? macOS does not support touch screen monitors. Most any monitor will work with macOS without any additional drivers, however, touch screen gestures, etc. are not supported. You need Windows 10 for that.

Give NewEgg a call, see if they'll work with you to get a different model monitor? It won't hurt to ask...

+1.
They can be quite reasonable to deal with or sure used to be.
