have an issue. I have cute pic of my niece which I would like to crop heart shape to fit into a frame.
I tried a few things but the depth of the heart at top cut off part of her head.
so I fooled around and now am having another issues where the heart is vertical instead of horizontal.
I tried turning her first and then applying heart but still does not work.....see pic

I checked some of the other shapes and they are as they should be...I must have done something to see the heart in wrong direction and don't remember what I did.

1. I need to get heart facing correct way.

2. then want to know if there is a way to adjust size of heart shape itself so that her head and cut pony tails are not cut off.

help on Microsoft (not that helpful) said that if I was running in compatibility mode there is a feature to adjust heart shape
but I am not running compatibility mode and don't know if I can get into that mode.

does anyone know what I am talking about?

What app are you using for this?

Found this online service which features several heart shapes. Upload pic, adjust and download to keep. https://www.photofunny.net/out/581630447081362982

Created these in seconds - one from a screenshot of yours, the other a random photo of mine in a different frame. You have the whole photo so you would not have the white shape and you can adjust up/down/size/

I have inserted an image into a word document to do the heart shape and then planned to print on photo paper and cut each image to heart shape.

thanks...for your reply. yes the heart around my niece is exactly what I get but as you can see it chops into her forehead. seems as if I need more background above her head...but there is none.
is there no way around this?

I will check out link you sent. does anyone else have any comments on this photo funny?

I don't use Word so can't help other than to say a text format (Word) is not the best for arranging images.

Looking at your two attempts, the picture is big enough to fit in a heart, you just have to move it so it fits. I thought that online service was great. Free, easy, download, choose print size. Nothing to lose.

Since you want to cut out the heart shape, you could try this, which I made in Pages and gives a heart around the main subject which can be cut around. Instructions on pic.

Why not start over? Create a new document, import the picture, apply the heart?

think I am going to try to draw a dotted line around her (can't remember what icon that is) and then paste into a document. maybe that will work!!

You just need to flip the photo 90 degrees to fit either portrait or landscape presentation.
