Photos question

My pictures are stored in individual files, each with a different name

If.....when I transfer to Apple iMac, will,the files remain intact as on my windows machine

I have researchedvand seem that they will remain in tact...other descriptions say they will be individually sorted by date

I'm confused

Pictures are always stored in unique files. If you were to migrate a folder full of images into Photos, they will kept together for you to view within Photos, but behind the scenes Photos may put them in a date based folder structure or whatever. It really doesn't matter how Photos stores your images as long as you can view them as a group (which is likely more important to you).

Got it...I was thinking along those lines....wasn't sure though
