2011-2012 screen swap

hi there,

i have a couple of things wrong with my MCP early 2011, 13"

the screen is fine but the glass is cracked and the antennas have frayed where they come through the hinge, they are now all broken so i am using a USB wifi dongle.

my question is are the lids/screens the same connection wise, there is a 'for parts' MCP for sale locally , can i swap early 2011 with mid 2012??

i'm sure similar has been asked but i could not find a quick answer when searching here.

What you need to do is query sites that stock Apple parts and compare part numbers. The 2012 Mid MacBook Pro is a different machine than your Early 2011 model and unless you have specific part numbers, there is no way to tell.

As chscag mentioned...need to compare the parts for an Early 2011 and mid-2012. The site I usually go to for this info is Powerbookmedic.com. If they say the part for these two MBP's are the same...then you're good to go.
