Importing photos??

do you have to import photos from a camera onto the hard drive using just iphoto.. or is there another way...

i hate how you cant choose which pictures you want to import on iphoto and instead you have import all the pictures on the camera..

I think the Image Capture app. let's you choose whether or not to open iPhoto. How else do you want to import the photos from your cam? Does it come with it's own software?

oh ok no that works thanks.. can you resize images with iphoto.. or any software that comes with the mac?

I'm not sure if iPhoto does, check under the editing function.

I use photoshop so I don't really know how much iPhoto lets you do.

iPhoto lets you resize, basic red-eye reduction, and adjust brightness/contrast. What are you want to adjust on the photo? You may check out GIMP for OSX for free manipulation.
