Hi, I have a mid-2010 mac mini 2,4 Ghz Intel core 2 duo. I replaced memory chips with 2 x 4GB. When i click on "about this Mac" it indicates i have 4 Go of memory. Should it be 8 ? Is it possible that 1 ram chip is not correctly inserted ? Thanks

Welcome to our forums.

Mactracker says that your mini can accept:

Maximum Memory 16 GB (Actual) 8 GB (Apple)
Memory Slots 2 - 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

First, make sure you have used the correct memory modules, and second, remove the modules and re-insert them to make sure they're seated correctly.
