Hi,

I’m trying to make a youtube video go full screen on my secondary monitor, but it won’t work- it always switches to go full screen on my main iMac screen (and/or sometimes makes the other screen black and unusable). Could you please help?

Its not just youtube either- I just tried it with an Evernote window and it made it full screen on the secondary monitor, but it made the iMac screen completely black. Happens with all applications I think. I’ve searched online and it seems a lot of people have had this issue, but I can’t find a fix. How can I make full screen work right on second monitor?

Thanks, Dan

How are you going fullscreen? Clicking on the green button on the window top-left?

How many tabs are open, and what browser are you using to do this? Also, how do your have it set up in System Preferences > Displays?

Yes, or using a the menu bar shortcut, or keyboard shortcut, or using youtube full screen button in bottom right of youtube.

Happens with one tab or many, with both safari chrome and firefox.

Here are the display settings:

Here are the mission control settings (had heard that this might be helpful for this issue too):
