My dad originally in 2014 bought this iMac for my mom, who used it, until I gave her my 2012 MacBook Pro, when I upgraded to some MacBook. A few months ago, this computer got really screwed up somehow, and I had to reset the machine. So, after that happened, I reset it and put the data from my mom's Pro on it, and somehow it got even more malware on it, which remote put it in recovery mode. And, now I'm using my Samsung T5, from my MacBook Pro to restore it from my T5, using USB 3.0. It's currently at 3.4%, and I'll give an update when it gets anything better. I'll post it in the replies. It's a mid-range model, so this may take a little bit to get all of it restored, as I believe it's USB 2.0.

EDIT: I meant 21 inch.

There is no such iMac as a 23 inch version. Over the years, iMacs have come in 17", 20", 21" and 27". So which one do you really have?

Alright, it's at 21.8%, and it's saying the time remaining is 40 minutes. The computer has not decided to put the air fans on yet, and the backup drive is getting hot, but not hot yet.

Here's a bit more of the story, while we're waiting. So, after my dad bought this machine, he waited until 2015, and then, when I was using his 2009 iMac for everything I had to do, he decided to buy himself a late 2013 model, and give me the early 2009 iMac. I used it for a fair 3 months, and than, I started to use the mid 2010 MacBook, but after I broke the screen of that one (don't ask how) I was forced to use the iMac. I used it until 2016, when I got a crappy PC, and I was forced to use it.
Fact: I had a 2013 MacBook Air until it fell and shattered.
Fact 2: I gave my Mid 2012 Pro to my mom along with an iPad when I got a 2015 MacBook.
Fact 3: I returned the 2015 MacBook for a tablet
Fact 4: I later got a Lenovo (in 2016) because I was laptop-less.
Wow, alot of facts. But what do I know, I just started to post today..

Let me check. Oh, I can't check from recovery mode. I believe it's a 24 inch version, or maybe a 21 if ferrarr is incorrect.

65% done. Saying 12 minutes left. I'm going to go eat dinner now. Hopefully it'll be done by the time I'm done. For now, I'm out.

Ok, I got it all set up. It's a 2.7 GHz Late 2013 iMac. It's running High Sierra, as I used my time machine from the Pro for this machine, and 8 GBs of ram. All stock, nothing ever upgraded. Also, it's 21.5 inches. Not 23, not 24, just 21.5. It's also got the Iris Pro 1536 MB chip. (1.5GB) It's got a 1 TB hard drive, SATA disk. About 200 GBs taken up, but my Pro is only 256 GBs. So, all is well, if I want to, tomorrow I'll put this on my desk along with my MacBook 2006 and my Pro. Thanks for reading, and I'll be making more Mac adventures. it's gonna be special one about the shattered Mac upstairs, which is my dad's machine...
