My buddy has an iMac G3/233, Rev. B. It had OS 8.5 I believe and the person who had the Mac just deleted everything and the poor thing didn't work to save a life.
So I went out to e-bay and bought a bootable 9.2.2 OS... everything's nice and dandy, boots up, but when I try to install the new OS it says my firmware's out-dated and that I can find the newest firmware on the Mac CD, which is NOT there.
What I'm asking is this. Is there ANY way for me to somehow burn the Mac OS 9.2.2 and the newest firmware with my PC? Once the Mac loads from the CD, I can not eject the CD. So I'm stuck with an iMac that boots ONLY off the CD and I can not update the firmware.
Can anyone help me?! neye:
