Hello Everyone,

Its always great to interact with you!

Ive been running my late 2013 MBP 15" 16GIG Ram with El Capitan and was wondering if there are any issues with Photoshop CC when upgrading to Sierra.

I use Photoshop CC everyday and depend on it for all of my photo editing. I and am a bit reluctant to upgrade operating systems unless I feel pretty confident that it will run fine. I usually am one version behind so I was thinking that because High Sierra is now coming that Sierra "should" be ok for Photoshop CC.

Any insight you can give me would be most appreciated.

As always, thank you for your expertise!

best,

Rick

Thanks so much Harry! I really appreciate the input. I think for now I will just stay with El Capitan as it seems to be working fine less a few hiccups with a couple tools in PSCC 2017

According to them, Photoshop CC 2014 is ?ionable but Photoshop CC 2015 checks out as 'works fine'.

Check it out with a search on 'Photoshop CC' here:

I run Photoshop CC daily on Sierra. I have Photoshop CS6, CC - 2015, 2015.5 and 2017 and all run perfect. For some reason I have not figured out, ever since I installed CC (I run the full suite) if there is an update I get the newest version and the old version is still there and useable. Not sure why Adobe does it that way. You would think they would delete the old version. I guess maybe to make sure the new one is compatable with my system? I am sure I will eventually become annoyed enough to delete all the old version - especially if my SSD gets too full. ;)

But only after you've got a working backup, as sure as H*ll, something will quit working after it's deleted and Trashed. :Mischievous:

Odd how some things like that work eh???

True very true. But I have been using 2017 exclusively since it was added by Adobe and I have had no issues. Actually of all the apps in the CC suite, Photoshop has proven to be the most stable. I have not had an issue with it.
