Question about Micro SD Cards

I notice the speed of the cards...mbps for read & write, that's self explanatory. What does the Class mean...10 for example?

The class determines how fast the SD card does those reads and writes. The lower class cards are slower and are OK if you want to use it as a storage device where you don't care how fast things get written. However, the usual place for SD cards is in digital cameras and they all have requirements on the class of the cards to ensure that images get stored quickly enough..

On cameras that support higher resolution video recording, they'll require the higher class cards so that it can keep up the write speed to ensure data is there since they don't have a large amount of buffer built into the cameras...
