Well I can honestly say that I have now given both Windows and Android mobile platforms a fair go.
As some will know, my iPhone 5s died about three months ago and being in Indonesia where Android dominates the market I opted for a Galaxy J5 Prime at the princely sum of AU $250.00. Good price, bigger screen. Took me about a month to set up with everything I wanted. Unfortunately syncing remained an issue not to mention all those favourite apps I had accumulated over years.
Last week I discovered an outlet which sells Apple refurbished second hand iPhones from the UK. I got an iPhone 7 with an obscenely large amount of storage (128Gb) for the equivalent of AU $750.00.
The most noticeable changes were the haptic feedback (no moving home button) and 3D touch features. In case no one has picked up on this one, a deep press on the Settings icon provides access to Bluetooth, WiFi, Mobile Data and Battery settings. Cellular data was one setting I always wanted in control centre so this is a trade off but a handy feature for me as I only use cellular data when absolutely necessary.
All up its fantastic to have an iPhone again. There is a distinct feel of quality about it and once again all my services are united under one platform.
