Thanks. All the other PDAs are, so I figured a touch screen would be obvious.

dislike the fact that there is the click wheel. That is very ipod, and it would not be useful..

Well, I figured the device would double as video iPod as well as work as a PDA, so there should be some controls to, well, control the music and video playback. And of course it "is very ipod", that was what I started with. Feel free to improve upon :)

Specs? 1 to 4 GB flash memory, 128 MB ROM, 624 Mhz XScale CPU, bluetooth, 802.11g, USB2 or FireWire.

My thoughts...
It needs to have a flip open front cover or slider that on the backside has a QWERTY thumb board for web browsing/email/SMS like the T-Mobile MDA. The LCD would have an option for horizontal/verticle screen layouts for when the keyboard is or is not in use.

Which goes into my next feature of built in iPhone, and than you have a Treo killer.

Lose the clickwheel and put in place a volumn scroll wheel on the side of the unit, with shortcut buttons below the LCD.

that little wheel is no where near functional. If u imagine that the ipad is the size of a treo maybe a bit taller the size of that wheel for anyone with a finger bigger than a toddler would be unable to use it!

I believe you guys are on the same page.

I dont think the clickwheel should be dropped its just in a really akward place on the "iPad" i think Apple would just come up with some on screen virtual clickwheel.

Wheres the iSight, you know that would be built in, maybe one on each side of the device or one that rotates so you can take a pic of yourself, or whatever youre looking at.
I dont care if its a phone but i wouldnt mind although ive gone through alot of cell phones and i wouldnt want to break my apple. On the other hand i dont obsess over nokia
