The "." As the first character in the name marks it as hidden. That's why Finder doesn't show it. Look for how to see hidden files and rename it to get rid of the "."

Good catch Jake. I missed the . when I read the filename. That never occurred to me.If you make the files visible first you should be able to search for the video. There are a few options for doing this:
1. I believe sone of the utilities such as Find Any File can search hidden files. Not sure though since I don's these routinely.
2. The maintenance utility Onyx has a feature where you can tell the Mac to show invisible files. If you launch Onyx that function is in the "Utilities" tab under "visibility".
3. You can unhide files using directions such as these.

Great find, Jake. Can't give you the thumbs up, but I'll say it publicly.

Good catch Jake.

Now I'm stuck wondering what the "Command+Shift+. [thats the period key] short cut" is and does.

I can't even find it in Apple's list:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201236

PS: Yes, FAF.app can and does list invisibles.

EDIT:
Opps, I should have just read Slydude's URL suggestion:
"Finally, press Command – Shift – [period] and any hidden files will become visible only in the Open File window."

Sigh…. always something new to learn every day… how will the ol' brain keep up and manage…???

Gotta be careful Patrick when you're dealing with that Slydude fellow. He doesn't own all those 10 gallon hats for nothing! :p

Gee whiz… and here I was led to believe that only those from Texas were officially allowed to wear them. Oh well, live and learn I guess… :Blushing:

I spent about 5 years dealing with west Texas winters. They have to qualify me as an honorary Texan.

Rotfl BTW Aird and dry in Summer and miserable in Winter. Get a load of some of this climate data as an example. I once saw it go from sunshine to overcast to snowing in less than two hours.
