Alarm clock is no longer loud

2 - 3 days ago my iPhone 7 alarm clock stopped being loud. My phone. watch, and Mbook pro are all updated. I spent 30 min trying to get the alarm to get loud to no avail. All other audio is normal volume except the alarm clock. Good thing I'm retired and don't have to be anywhere...

Is there anything new you did a few days ago to cause the problem???

I assume you've checked all the settings and you're still using the same alarm sound as before:

Ahhh yes, the good old basic #1 fixit rule I forgot to mention, and thanks Bob for the reminder and possible solution.

I should have known, I go to the genius bar and get in the hour long queue and I decided to check the alarm so I won't feel like a ***, and the alarm works!
