I got some help earlier - problem still not solved.
Several mailboxes - filled with my stored messages - from my account only have disappeared. I think they were stored in the Cloud. They have been replaced by two "Recovered messages" which were not there previously.
Whenever I go into time machine and pick a date before they disappeared I can only see the mail boxes down as far as "smart Mail boxes To-day - all the rest are missing. See screenshot of where the mail boxes ought to be
