I have an older iMac OSX El Capitan 10.11.5

I am illustrating a children's book and need something simple to use to pull single letters from a font out and then arrange them individually on the page. I want to be able to rotate the letters to be at an angle or place them in an unusual fashion and not just in a straight line across the page. Any suggestions? I am not that computer savvy.

If you have Adobe Creative Suite, you can use Indesign for more advanced document design.

Welcome to our forums.

What software do you have that you can use? Word? Pages? Or, as mentioned above, the Adobe Suite? Since we don't know what you're using to do the children's book it's rather difficult to answer your question.

You may want to think about using Alphabets set instead of Fonts, you can place them and arrange just like an image. You can do a google search for Alphabets and find a lot. Here is a place to start for some nice ones http://snogirl.snoville.com/Alphabets/AlphabetIndex.html
