Change key on pre recorded music in iTunes

Just installed Garageband. Basically to alter keys on backing tracks in iTunes. Visited 2 forums to ask how to do this but cannot get the track into garageband.

Your title states "pre recorded music". This implies commercial copyrighted music. If that's your intent, it would illegal as that music is protected by law here in the US and many other countries. Unless you clarify what it is you're trying to do, we will close this thread and not allow it to continue.

Changing keys on backing tracks

Initially incorrect description. I have installed Garsgeband as suggested but cannot load the tracks into GB to alter the keys. These are backing tracks which I have purchased and are licensed to me. Help

Haven't used GarageBand in a while so I may not be on the right track but does this video help?
